Reverend Doctor Gwendolyn Denise Pierce is the Senior Pastor of Saint Luke AME Church-Hueytown, Alabama, where she has faithfully served for five years. A woman of extraordinary faith, resilience, and purpose, she brings over 40 years of ministry experience and more than 25 years of pastoral leadership to her calling. She is a Board-Certified Chaplain, published author, retired federal servant, and disabled United States Army veteran who has dedicated her life to Faith, Health & Salvation in the Community.
Rev. Dr. Pierce is a pioneering voice in faith-based holistic wellness, having spent over 25 years addressing the total person — mentally, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and financially — through her signature ministry track and her original workshop, "Detoxing the Mind, Body, and Soul." She is the Founder of Celebrating Sisters in the Spirit, a Holy Ghost-empowered women's ministry operating under the mandate to Unite, Uplift, and Unleash every woman into her God-given purpose.
A decorated veteran of the United States Army and retired Senior Graphic Designer Analyst and Multimedia Specialist with the Department of Defense, Rev. Dr. Pierce held a Top Secret/SCI security clearance in the Intelligence Community during her 36 combined years of federal and military service. She is also the author of the four-book series, My Journey: It’s All About Faith. Her life is a living testimony to the faithfulness of God — and a powerful declaration that with faith, all things are possible.
